Self-Awareness is a major component when it comes to personal growth and manifesting your truest desires. And with all the contrast that life throws at us it can become challenging to maintain our alignment with Source/God; and if we can’t maintain that we’re going to have an even harder time staying in alignment with what we’re trying to manifest into our lives. So below are three simple yet very powerful questions to ask yourself in any given moment to bring you back to your center and back into alignment. I like to call it a frequency check.
This question is emotionally based; how are you feeling? Confused or clear minded? Anxious or excited? Angry or empowered? Sad or joyful? Make sure you are emitting good and/or powerful emotions. Reminder: This is meant for you to acknowledge your feelings and not deny them. When we are feeling “negative” emotions the momentum of that emotion may be too strong to jump from anger to joy. In those moments it’s best to choose a more general thought such as “I’m calming down” until you feel that calmness in your body; instead of jumping to “I feel joyful”. The rule is to work your way up to feeling joyful.
This question is imaginative based. Are you imagining yourself in your new reality or your old/current reality? Do you see yourself with a thriving business or a struggling one? Do you see yourself in a loving harmonious relationship or a dissatisfying one? If you wish to have more money try not to focus so much on the lack there of it. See yourself as that which you wish to be or engage with.
This question is thought based. Are the thoughts you’re currently thinking limited and restricted? i.e. how, who, what, when. Are they worrisome and fearful? Or are they unlimited, trusting, timeless and full of faith. Are you living in the world of possibilities where anything can happen at anytime and anyplace or can you not see beyond your current circumstances?
Sometimes we don’t realize that we are out of alignment until we are knee deep in frustration. Once you ask yourself these questions you’ll feel the inner shift taking place of bringing you back into that place of peace and clarity and in that moment you’ll realize just how out of touch you were. You’ll start to feel better immediately and feel that sense of trust and relief from your inner being. You’ll pick yourself up, dust your boots off and continue on in the direction of your heart’s desires. Not only that, it will build your awareness of your alignment at all times so you’ll have more control over what you’re feeling and thinking.

When we think of healing in this western society, we often tend to think about and mostly focus on physical healing. We only seem to care about healing physical ailments. What most may not realize is that many of those physical ailments may stem from internal thoughts and emotions that need healing.
“Mental and Emotional healing are just as important as physical healing.”
The unhealed inner parts of you can greatly affect your life. As the saying goes: As within So without. This means that whatever is going on inside of you is what will show up in your physical reality. For instance, let’s say you struggle with insecurities with your appearance. In your world everyone will appear to be more beautiful and attractive than you.
Now you may be wondering what is mental and emotional healing? How do I know if I need healing in this area? Well the short answer to the second question is that we all need it! Mental and emotional healing is simply going into your psyche to address any thoughts and feelings you have that are blocking you from reaching your full potential and living the life you desire. They are so deeply rooted in our subconscious that we don’t consciously recognize them. As soon as we are born we begin taking in thoughts, feelings, lifestyles, experiences and teachings from our parents, school and society. Certain things that we see, hear and experience can traumatize or block us from what we most desire as we get older. Once we get older we start to wonder why certain parts of our lives are not moving in the direction we would want it to or why we aren’t experiencing the things we would most like to.
However we are unaware that we have these mental and emotional blocks that we’ve picked up along the way. Since we are unaware of these blocks and we’ve been taught that what happens to us is someone or something else’s fault outside of us; we start to point the finger to those things and people and never get to the root of the problem which is something that lies within us.
Ok, so let me paint a picture for you to give a better understanding of this. As a little girl, you grew up seeing your mother in an unhappy marriage. There were lots of fights and arguments going on in your presence. Your mother finally decides to get a divorce. After the divorce you hear her constantly make comments about men being no good, there are no good men out here, men don’t know how to properly treat a woman, and to never depend on a man because they are unreliable. You see her aimlessly dating around and the men she is dating reflects exactly how she feels about them. So you never really got a chance to witness a loving, happy, relationship.
Now as an adult woman you too are struggling in your romantic relationships. You already have a distorted perception of men thanks to your mother. You really desire to be inlove but your relationships keep hitting a dead end. You enter your relationships with the thoughts that were embedded into your subconscious by your mother. Thus, since you are now thinking and feeling the same about men you are experiencing the same type of relationships that your mother did. You may not even be aware of the correlation of what you saw growing up from your mother and how this is affecting your relationships today.
So add in all the other things that you were told and picked up along the way from your childhood to adulthood from family, friends, the media, and school. Can you see how this gets in the way of living and experiencing what we really want? Can you see how this can block us internally? All of these impressions are taken into our subconscious and play out in our lives. And hardly anyone ever slows down enough to wonder why they do the things they do, respond to people and situations the way they do, why they feel the way they feel about particular subjects, why they have certain beliefs and where did they come from, or why they think the thoughts they do.
Then you’ll hear people say “This is just me.” No, that is not you per say. It is a collection of thoughts, teachings and ideologies that have been passed down to you from others. You were just unaware of it. The real you is the one desiring the complete opposite of what you are living. That ‘you' just have to peel back all the layers in your subconscious that doesn’t serve you in creating that reality for yourself. Can’t you already feel the freedom and liberation in that?
Below I have included a short video going more into detail about what mental and emotional healing is and why it is important. It is imperative that here in our western culture we start to learn the value of healing our internal wounds instead of sweeping them under the rug and pretending that they don’t exist.
